Concept design

The creation of your new website begins with a conceptual design which we do in consultation with you. Usually the concept design will consist of a graphical representation of the appearance of the landing (home) page of the website.

Once you have approved the concept design, we begin the construction of the actual website. Should you decide not to continue after the concept design stage, the only cost to you will be for the work done in creating the concept.

Currently the cost per design concept is R 1,500 and only payable should you decide not to continue further with our development of your website.

 Domain

Before a website can be hosted, a registered domain name is required.

A domain name usually reflects the name or nature of your business or of the products and services you offer. If you do not have a domain name yet, we will assist in getting a domain name registered on your behalf.

Should you have an existing domain name, we will assist you in moving it to our designated hosting provider. All customers making use of our monthly payment facility will have to allow the domain to be hosted at our hosting provider until the end of the payment term.

We do not require ownership of your domain and it remains your property.

 Pages

Once we receive textual content and images for your website from you we begin to craft 5 web pages from your approved concept design.

Pages will be built in PHP, Java and CSS and consists of a main (index) page, a contact form with anti-spam protection and 3 pages that can be used to display information such as products, services, warranties, company profile, delivery areas, terms & conditions etc.

We will take every care to ensure your pages will display correctly in Internet Explorer 8+, Firefox 4+ and Google Chrome. Although we are confident our pages will display in other browsers, we cannot guarantee correct display as there are many internet browsers being released almost daily.

Should you require extra pages or custom input forms added to your new website, we can provide these at an additional cost to you, added to your monthly repayment schedule.

After the website is live and you require pages added or revised, our standard labour rates will prevail and be strictly payable on receipt of our invoice.

 Hosting

Our international provider is one of the world's top 10 largest web hosting companies with more than 4,000,000 hosted domains. During your 10 month payment cycle you will be unable to transfer the website to another hosting provider. Should you wish to do so, full settlement of the outstanding amount will be payable, with a pro-rata discount for the unused hosting portion.

 Payment terms

We require a non-returnable payment of R 2,600 once you have approved the concept design of your new website and before we go ahead with building it.

Only once your new website has been completed and uploaded to our hosting servers do your monthly repayments of R 500 per month begin.

At the end of the 10 month payment term, the total cost for your new website, including 12 months hosting is R 7,600.

 Ownership

Once you have completed your 10 month payment term, you may host your website at a service provider of your choice or you may choose to continue hosting with us. The annual renewal for hosting for 12 months is R 1,800.
